Investigating cardiovascular disease mechanisms by integrating molecular biology, cell-based systems and experimental mouse models, with the aim to develop translational approaches targeting clinical relevance and therapeutic innovation. Focusing on the following areas:
- Cardiovascular pathophysiology: hypertension, endothelial dysfunction, vascular remodeling
- Atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease (CAD): mechanisms of plaque formation and progression
- Inflammation in cardiovascular disease: immune-mediated contributions to disease development and modulation/resolution
